Coupon Brag – January 30, 2017
It's been awhile since I've done a coupon brag, so I thought I'd show you a bit from my shopping trip yesterday. Remember, I'm not an "extreme" couponer, but I am a deliberate shopper. Pictured above is $72 of groceries that I paid $25 for. That's 65% savings! This was not my entire shopping trip, I also bought milk, eggs, fruit, bread, etc. and overall saved 43% on my entire receipt. I do this through a combination of physical coupons (I get one Sunday ads paper for free and then print coupons from my computer), store coupons, shopping sales, and rebate apps. My top rebate apps are ibotta, checkout 51, and MobiSave. Here's an example of what I got from ibotta this week. They paid me $.25 for the protein bar, $.25 for ground beef, $.25 for carrots, $.25 for broccoli, and $.50 for pasta. That's a total of $1.50 on generic, healthy, regular items I'd be buying with or without their app. Don't miss out on savings because you think coupons are just for items you don't use! There are regularly savings on fruit, veggies, bread, milk, and more with these rebate apps. I love them and combining them with physical coupons and store sales can save you hundreds! If you want to learn to shop like me, check out my article “How to Coupon Without the Extreme”. You can read all my coupon-related posts here. Below is a spreadsheet on the 65% savings I mentioned above.
